A quote from "Leadership Challenge" by Kouzes and Posner says "Leaders breathe life into the hopes and dreams of others and enable them to see the exciting possibilities that the future holds." Our membership has a wealth of talent and experience that can be brought forth and utilized to move our association into new frontiers given the correct leadership skills.

LFP Goals

• Identify and train future NAON leaders from members who are novice leaders with little volunteer or leadership experience.
• Develop and implement a formal NAON mentoring program between participants and established NAON leaders.
• Enhance skills of those members who have already assumed or are about to assume leadership roles with NAON.

We can all be leaders for NAON if we have the desire and the courage. The LFP is about growing a competent leadership base for NAON. It is about understanding our strengths and weaknesses, and about putting the right people in the right jobs.

Step up to serve in the Leadership Fellows Program!

• Selection of LFP Fellows and matching of mentors and Fellows will be done by the Mentoring Task Force and the Executive Committee.
• All LFP Fellows will be assigned to a NAON committee/task force to chair or SIG to facilitate at the end of their fellowship year or will run for a national office.
