who both correctly diagnosed an iliopsoas avulsion fracture from the lesser trochanter in the case study below.
Case Study-- 1/24/12: A 12 year old male was brought into the Emergency Room by his parents with severe right hip pain. He went to slide into second base playing baseball and complained of severe right hip pain when he stood up. He had severe pain with any hip flexion. There was minimal pain with right hip internal and external rotation. He was able to stand but had severe pain with ambulation. He had an AP x-ray of the pelvis taken in the Emergency Room.
