I am preparing for the Orthopedic Clinical Nurse Specialist exam. One of the suggested APN exam references listed on the ONCB web site is the Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care (3rd ed.)

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether this book is perhaps mroe geared toward studying for the NP exam of if this would be a valuable study reference for the NCS exam as well

Thank you

To answer the question : Yes, the Essesntials of Musculoskeletal Care is still a major reference for the CNS Exam. While the Nurse Practitioner exam may be more focused on clinical management questions, the Clin. Spec. is still responsible for the advanced knowledge in orthopaedic care.

I hope this helps,
