1. Implement strategies that enhance orthopaedic patient outcomes and bring value to the organization.
Orthopedic Programs seeking certification are required to identify process improvement projects; this involves identifying quality improvement gaps and needs, which takes time, skill, and teamwork. Additionally, identifying successes or failures in practice changes can be challenging to ascertain.
The presenters will share innovative strategies for identifying program outcome gaps, how to use program data to develop process improvement initiatives, how to implement process improvement to drive quality and analyzing quality improvement outcomes to drive additional change. This activity will include case studies to enhance the examples used to improve performance and patient outcomes
Ultimately, program initiatives and process improvement are needed in every orthopedic program to elevate practice, improve quality of care and achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Education Outcome: At least 50% of participants will report that the session provided information that would cause change(s) in the practice and/or professional environment
