. Translate the steps of TJC DSC certification into the road to zero harm for the orthopedic patient
• Requirements for DSC application, examples of Metrics used, discussion of EB practice and the role that NAON plays in this. Discuss examples of how the certification has impacted hospital programs and their road to Zero Harm. Discuss types of certifications available through TJC for orthopedic programs (Hip, Knee, Spine, Fractured Hip, Shoulder, Ankle, Advanced Total Joints, Osteoporosis, and Hand)
Describe the survey process for the day of the actual Joint Commission review
• Discussion of expectations from Opening Session through the Closing Session including Patient/Hospital Tracers, Data and Competency Sessions.
