Description:

The presentation will begin with defining horizontal violence in the workplace. It will also discuss what constitutes a hostile work environment and bullying. The presentation will further explain bullying by giving various case scenarios depicting the behavior.
The presentation will provide in-depth discussion on the impact of bullying on the nurses involved, the entire team, and importantly, the patient. This presentation will discuss strategies on how to manage the situation. In addition, the presentation will discuss how leaders can identify and address bullying. Cultivating a healthy work environment will be a vital part of the discussion as a means to prevent or reduce the incidents of bullying.
