Call for Podium and Poster Proposals

 

Submit Your Proposal

NAON invites you to submit a podium or poster proposal for the 47th Annual Congress, taking place May 1–3, 2027 in Orlando, FL. Share your expertise, innovations, and best practices that advance orthopaedic nursing and improve patient outcomes. Interprofessional presentations are encouraged.

All presentations must be delivered live and in person. Virtual or pre-recorded presentations will not be accepted.


Key Dates

  • Proposal Submission Opens: June 15, 2026
  • Proposal Deadline: August 12, 2026
  • Acceptance Notifications: September 30, 2026

Submission Guidelines

Proposals must be complete and follow all submission instructions. Podium presentations may include up to four presenters; posters may include up to two presenters. All presenters must submit a Bio/Relevant Financial Interest Form. Multiple proposals are welcome but must be submitted separately.

Please note that NAON does not provide honoraria or travel reimbursement for presenters.

Congress Learning Outcomes

Presentations should support one or more of the following:

  • Advance evidence-based orthopaedic nursing practice
  • Improve patient outcomes, safety, and quality of care
  • Promote professional growth and leadership development
  • Foster health equity and patient-centered care
  • Strengthen the role of orthopaedic nurses across healthcare settings

  • Spine, shoulder, hip, knee, foot, and ankle care
  • Pain management and opioid stewardship

The National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP3432.

NAON uses ANCC criteria, which states contact hours are determined by 60 minutes of education equals one (1) contact hour.
