The Orange County NAON chapter in Southern California is excited to announce that their 12th Annual Orthopedic Symposium is returning back on September 23rd titled "Expanding Innovation in Orthopedics". Lineup of speakers includes joint and spine surgeons, anesthesiologist, hospitalist, nursing, nurse practitioner, OT, and an inspirational keynote speaker nurse.
This program is being provided by the Orange County Chapter of the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses (NAON) which is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing with provider number CEP5753 for 8+ contact hours for RNs. Participants must stay for the entire program to receive continuing education hours. No partial hours will be awarded for this event.
Please join us at MAHEC Fall 2024, in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, or from the comfort of your own home via Webex, for a one-of-a-kind conference. Our speakers represent a wide variety of healthcare disciplines. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the latest in robotic surgery, same day surgery, patient optimization, orthopaedic trauma, and self-care. Along with learning some exciting things about orthopaedic care, you will have the opportunity to network with other orthopaedic care providers and submit questions to an expert panel of speakers. This will be a continuing education activity for nurses, occupational therapists/assistants, and physical therapists/assistants to achieve contact hours. The Wisconsin Orthopedic Nurses Chapter 87 of NAON is hosting an in-person Orthopaedic Nursing Conference titled Orthopedic Nursing 2024: Innovative Care Trends. This event will enable attendees to identify evidence-based practices on topics pertinent to orthopedic nursing as well as discuss current trends and future approaches in the orthopaedic nursing field. Nurses, nursing students, therapists, and other interested healthcare professionals are encouraged to attend. Registration is required.
6.5 Contact Hours Will Be Awarded. Attendance for entire presentation & completed evaluation is required to receive the contact hours.
Explore how the orthopaedic nurse applies critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for the various health issues of adult spine disorders, degenerative joint disease, inflammatory disease, metabolic bone disease, musculoskeletal tumors, pediatric/neuromuscular/congenital orthopaedics, operative orthopaedics, orthopaedic complications andorthopaedic trauma and sports injuries. It is an excellent review for those planning to take the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Exam and those wanting to enhance their orthopaedic knowledge base. 7.5 category A contact hours are provided to attendees.
