NAON is committed to providing flexible learning options that will foster personal and professional growth to develop competence and excellence in orthopaedic nursing practice. Lifelong learning is essential for orthopaedic nurses to maintain and increase competence in their nursing practice.

NAON offers a variety of ways for our members to continue their education and develop as orthopaedic professionals. Continuing education can be obtained through our products, publications, at our Annual Congress, at the Nursing and Allied Health Meeting during AAOS, through chapters across the country and on our online education web site.

The National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC-COA).

NAON uses ANCC criteria which states contact hours are determined by 60 minutes equals 1 contact hour.

NAON is also an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Provider number #CEP3432.
