Description:
Orthopaedic patient education begins long before the day of surgery. This webinar explores practical, evidence-based strategies nurses can use to improve preoperative and postoperative patient education through clear, consistent communication and simple workflow enhancements. Participants will learn how standardized education tools can promote patient confidence, support self-management, reduce unnecessary follow-up, and improve the overall recovery experience.
 
Instructions: After the webinar, the participant will complete the learner evaluation and post-test in the Online Education Center. Once the post-test has earned a passing grade (of 76% or higher) and the evaluation is completed, the participant will be able to access the CNE certificate. Upon successful completion of this activity, participants will be awarded 1.0 ANCC Contact Hours and a certificate of completion. The participant must view the entire webinar, pass an online post-test, and complete an online evaluation. Only after these requirements are completed will a certificate will be issued.

National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP3432.
