September 2025 President's Message
As we approach October, we will begin our annual renewal period for NAON memberships. I hope that your membership in the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses (NAON) has been an essential aspect of your career as it has been in mine. We are honored to have you as part of our community. If your renewal date is approaching, we invite you to continue your membership and keep benefiting from the valuable resources and connections NAON offers. Such as:
- Professional Development: Maintain access to advanced education opportunities, certification support, webinars, and conferences designed to help you remain at the forefront of orthopaedic nursing practice.
- Networking & Community: Connect with a nationwide network of orthopaedic nurses, leaders, and mentors who share your commitment to advancing musculoskeletal health.
- Clinical Resources: Stay up to date with evidence-based practice guidelines, professional publications, and the latest research in orthopaedic nursing.
- Advocacy & Leadership Opportunities: Participate in shaping the future of orthopaedic nursing while developing your leadership skills.
- Exclusive Member Benefits: Take advantage of discounts on educational programs, publications, and event registrations, as well as access to NAON’s members-only online community.
By renewing your membership, you ensure continued access to networks and resources that empower you to provide the best possible orthopaedic care to your patients while advancing the orthopaedic nursing profession.
If you are new to NAON, I want to welcome you to our association! Perhaps you know someone who needs to be a part of our association. I would encourage you to speak to them about the reason why you joined and have them consider joining as well.
Thank you for your ongoing dedication to orthopaedic nursing. Together, we will GROW the Future of NAON and support each other in making a meaningful difference in our communities.
Warm regards,
Matt Lowe MDiv, MSN, APRN FNP-C, ONC
