What Will The Tour Include?
Join in the fun of this "crash course" of the city of Pittsburgh! You will visit landmarks, attractions and neighborhoods to learn and experience the 'Burgh on this whirlwind tour of the city of bridges. The tour includes roundtrip transportation, admission to all attractions and all gratuities.
Schedule
8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - Pick up at The Omni William Penn and Westin Hotels
8:45 a.m. Dequesne Incline ride and tour - This iconic Pittsburgh historic landmark opened its doors to passengers in 1877 and is still operating using the same hoisting system today. We will ride the "funicular" up the side of Mt. Washington and enjoy the birds eye view rated one of the best views of America.
9:30 a.m. North Shore Hometown Heroes - A short ride along the North Shore of Pittsburgh will give guests a different perspective of the city and highlight some of Pittsburgh's most well-known hometown heroes, stadiums and monuments.
10:00 a.m. Pittsburgh's Strip District - Pittsburgh has 90 unique neighborhoods and the Strip District is one of the most multi-cultural and lively. It is also the foodie mecca of our city. Take time to stroll colorful Penn Ave and grab a "yinzer" souvenir. Nobody does black and gold like Pittsburgh.
10:45 a.m. Pittsburgh's Cultural District - Enjoy a short driving tour through the cultural district that focuses on classic architecture and the arts.
11:00 a.m. - Return to Hotels
How to Register
If you are adding on the Pittsburgh 101 Tour during your Congress registration, you will see it available as an Add-On during the registration process.
If you've already completed your Congress registration and want to go back and add the Pittsburgh 101 tour, follow these steps:
- Login to your NAON account
- On the left hand side menu, select "Online Store"
- Then select "Merchandise" and select the Pittsburgh 101 Tour
- Select "Add to Cart"
- Select "Review and Checkout"
- Enter your payment information and complete the transaction
