Iowa Health Care 2026 Virtual Orthopedic Nursing Conference
The Iowa Health Care 2026 Virtual Orthopedic Nursing Conference is set to be held on April 17, 2026. This virtual conference will offer educational sessions to discuss multidisciplinary innovations in orthopedic patient management and considerations both in and outside the hospital setting. Sponsored by University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing Services and Patient Care, in cooperation with NAON Hawkeye Chapter #149.

Many times, as we work hard to provide patient care, take care of our families, and friends, and pursue our dreams, we end up being at the bottom of that list. Here are a couple of thoughts about self-love:
- Build social connection- encourage belonging
- Avoid self- criticism- talk to yourself how you would talk to your best friend
- Be empathetic to yourself- kind and understanding, validate your emotion
- Being less critical can increase happiness
- Less stress means you can be available to be of service to others
- Can lead to increased strength in fun times and challenges
- Increased productivity- failure is a learning opportunity
