Description: Orthopedic injection therapy is a cornerstone in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions, offering targeted relief for pain and inflammation in joints, tendons, ligaments, and surrounding soft tissues. These injections can serve both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, helping clinicians confirm a suspected source of pain while delivering localized treatment to improve function and quality of life. From corticosteroids and hyaluronic acid to platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and other regenerative options, the landscape of injection therapies continues to expand. Understanding the indications, techniques, benefits, and limitations of each type of injection is essential for delivering safe and effective care in orthopedic practice.
